Annual Membership dues:
SINGLE - $78 - Renewals due by October 15
FAMILY - $96 - Renewals due by October 15
$10 one-time initiation fee (per person) when first joining

Training fees: 1 PERSON - $50 every 6 months  - Due January 15 & July 15
Additional Family membe
r - $25 every 6 months - Due January 15 & July 15

Weather Cancellations

Classes are cancelled if the Waukesha County temperature is -10 at 7:00am on Sunday morning or 0 at 5:00pm on weeknights, or if there is a Weather Warning
any time of the year.

Training for German Shepherd Dogs

Instructors are experienced volunteers, willing to teach you to raise and train a healthy, well-behaved dog.

Founded in 1947 by 33 German Shepherd enthusiasts,the Club was to promote interest in and to train people to properly train their German Shepherd Dogs.

The Club owns and maintains training grounds, where American Kennel Club (AKC) licensed shows, obedience trials, agility trials, and fun matches are held. 

It is a not-for-profit organization affiliated with the American Kennel Club (AKC)  and the German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA).

  • Participation in various community parades
  • Demonstrations to educate the public about the versatility and beauty of the German Shepherd Dog

  • Programs to teach children how to approach and safely play with any breed of dog
 

Enjoy winter by participating in fun indoor training with your dog!

The activities listed below are open to any GSDCW member who has:

  • Paid their training dues
  • Whose dog has meets the class prerequisite

Check the Tales and the training schedule to confirm the times and dates

NEW THIS YEAR, Obedience Run Thrus (1st Sunday each month after other classes)

  • Help get ready to show a dog in obedience.
  • One-on-one ring experience
  • Experienced instructors to teach the do's and don'ts of showing

(Summer Run Thrus helped 7 new members qualify for legs on Beginner Novice or Novice titles.)

 

Rally class Friday (6:30 PM)

  • An excellent way after Beginners class to begin obedience training
  • A lot of fun for both the handler and the dog.
  • You're welcome to observe and participate at any time
  • Experienced onstructors to guide and teach all about Rally

Conformation classes Thurs (7:00 PM)

  • Training for those competing in conformation or Junior Showmanship
  • Learn more about the breed
  • Inquire about competitive conformation

Agility class 2nd/4th Sat (10:00 AM)

  • Agility is a often featured on TV's Animal Planet
  • It's perfect for a dog over 18 months with some prior training experience
  • It's enjoyable to watch and even more enjoyable to participate in for the athletically inclined
  • Casses are ongoing and will show you how to compete successfully in agility
